Ranked as one of the most backward districts (region) of the country, Kishanganj has got a reason to smile as it stood third among the best performer districts of Bihar as the as the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced its Class X results on Thursday (June 22, 2017). Kishanganj has a total pass percentage of 57.77% which is slightly behind best performer Saran district with a pass percentage of 59.65% and the second best West Champaran with 59.34%. Official sources said in Kishanganj altogether 7,539 students passed with a first division, 2,382 with a second division and 3,876 students passed with a third division.
The district of Kishanganj was also made proud by Anil Roy, who stood fourth among the toppers of Bihar. A student of Karkunlal High School, Alta, Kishanganj Anil secured 460 marks out of 500 with 100% marks in Maths, Science. Belonging to a financially weak family Anil has really done a commendable job by bringing the district into map of Bihar and country. Anil will be given a reward of Rs. 10,000 and a laptop by the BSEB (Bihar School Examination Board).
The toppers will be rewarded by the BSEB. The first, second and third toppers will get Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively along with a laptop, an e-book and stationeries each. obtaining fourth to tenth positions will get Rs 10,000 and a laptop each.
