The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has issued a notice to further extending the date of cancellation of trains on Guwahati - New Jalpaiguri - Katihar / Malda route upt 31st August 2017. In a notice issued by the NFR it is said that the train opeation of Mail Express train may commence from 8:00 hrs to 10:00 hrs of 01.09.2017. It is decided that following trains shall run:-
1. 12423 Dibrugarh - New Delhi Rajdhani Express (Daily)
2. 12505 North East Express - Guwahati - Anand Vihar Express (Daily)
3. 15909 Avadh Assam Express - Dibrugarh - Lalgarh (Daily)
4. 15960 Kamprup Express - Dibrugarh - Howrah (Daily)
5. 15658 / 15657 Kanchan Junga Epxress - Guwahat Sealdah, 25658 / 25657 Silchar - Sealdah & 15660 / 15659 Agartala - Sealdah (Daily)
6. 13147 / 13148 Uttarbanja Express - Sealdah - New Coochbehar (Daily)
Below is the list of 70 trains to be operation w.e.f 01.09.2017 for various destinations on this route. The commencement of trains is subject to completion of restoration work between Kumedpur - Khurial and Telta - Sudhani Double Line section of Katihar Division
