Divorce / Desertion is a highly panic experience for women fraternity, in fact such women always face various types of problems including financial problem. Like other parts of the country, in our state Bihar too there are thousands of women (from different religious sect) who have been divorced or deserted by their husbands by many reasons. Government of Bihar provides a small one time aid of Rs. 10000 to Muslim divorced / deserted women that can be obtained by fulfilling the official / legal formalities.
Although the Minority Welfare Department of Bihar Government is running the project for past many years, but due to official loopholes and presence of middle touts made the process very tough and lengthy. However, Mr. Abul Hasan, ADM Government of Bihar has made the things easier after taking the charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bihar State Sunni Wakf Board a couple of years back.
To make the process partial and effective, Mr. Abul Hasan has himself drafted three application forms for the divorced / deserted Muslim women. The needy women can get the one time assistance of Rs. 10000/- from Bihar Government by filling up the form and submitting the same in the office of Bihar State Sunni Wakf Board in Patna.
