Bihar Polls: 66 candidates filed nominations from Kishanganj District

In one of the biggest political extravaganza 66 candidates are in the election fray from the Kishanganj district of Bihar. The aspiring candidates for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2010 from the four election constituencies in Kishanganj district filed their nominations. In the Muslim dominated Kishanganj district 38 Muslim candidates have filed the nomination in comparison to 28 Hindus.

From Kishanganj Assembly Constituency there are 14 candidates including 8 Muslims and 6 Hindus, from Kochadhaman Constituency out of 15 there are 9 Muslims and 6 Hindus. While in Bahadurganj Constituency out of 25 candidates 17 are Muslims and 8 are Hindus. Only in Thakurganj Constituency the number of Hindu candidates is more than Muslims, where out of 12 candidates 8 are Hindus and 4 are Muslims.

As per the special representatives the nominations of the candidates in four election constituency Kishanganj, Kochadhaman, Bahadurganj and Thakurganj have been found error free and all are eligible for fighting elections.
