Just after signing the agreement with DM Kishanganj on December 30, 2011, the former Vice Chancellor of AMU, Prof. P. K. Abdul Azis had sent a letter to MHRD on January 04, 2012 asking to provide the approval. In the letter Prof. Azis had urged the MHRD to provide a token grant for the establishment of AMU Kishanganj Centre. The former VC had requested a grant of Rs. 50 Crores from the savings of the XI Plan, so that the University can start the process of establishing the centre with a plan to commence classes in the 2012-13 sessions itself.
Below are scanned copies of the AMU VC letter sent to MHRD.
