Khalid Mubashshir, a resident of Baigana Village from Terrhagachh who is currently working as Senior Research Fellow in Department of Urdu, Jamia Millia Islamia was highly elated on sharing the news with KishanganjBihar.com (KBC). Mubashshir said, I had witnessed the hardships of people belonging to this deprived area and the construction of bridge will reduce the distance of district headquarters from 100 kilometers to 55 kilometers. Najeeb Sagar, an Engineering student from Jamia Millia Islamia belonging to Terrhagach block was equally delighted and shared his emotional feelings. He said, it is unbelievable that we will see a bridge on Kankai River in the coming time and it will save the valuable lives of ailing people.
KishanganjBihar.com has raised the issues of Terrhagach block time-to-time. Despite being one of the important and a hub of highly educated people, this area had been neglected by the elected representatives and governments for a long time. The construction of Kankai River will surely minimize the distance of district headquarters Kishanganj and improve the road communication. However, there are many issues like less numbers of schools, hospitals and lack of basic amenities for common people that also need attention of government.
