The Haj Committee of India constituted under the Act of Parliament No 35 of 2002 has issued a circular to the Executive Officer / Secretary of Haj Committees based in all states and Union Territories of India. As per the circular the Union Ministry of External Affairs has issued instructions to all Regional Passport Officers in the country to issue a short validity Passport to Haj Pilgrims having pending receipt of Police Verification Report.
The Haj Committee has also extended the dates of Haj Application Form (HAF) along with self attested copy of Passport from April 16, 2012 to April 25, 2012.
