Aditya Kumar Das is new DM of Kishanganj

On Friday (January 11, 2013) in a major transformation done in the Administration Department, the Bihar government has reshuffled 74 IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officers across the state. The reshuffling has been done in various departments namely General Administration, State Cabinet, Food, SC / ST welfare, Agriculture, etc. Kishanganj District Magistrate Sandeep Kumar R Pudkalkatti has been transferred to Rohtas. Aditya Kumar Das, OSD (Officer on Special Duty) Rural development has been promoted as District Magistrate of Kishanganj.

Sandeep Kumar R Pudkalkatti has been district magistrate of Kishanganj for about two and half years since he take over charge on July 7, 2010. Born on June 13, 1978, Dr. Sandeep Kumar R. Pudakalkatti cleared the India’s premier Civil Services Examination in the year 2006. After clearing the Preliminary Test (PT) Mr. Pudakalkatti took the Civil Services (Main) written examination in October – November 2005. Finally Mr. Pudakalkatti appeared in the Personality Test (Interview) held in April, 2006 and in order of merit recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Dr. Sandeep Kumar R. Pudakalkatti had the roll number 001318 and secured the rank 248 out of 425 candidates who had been finally recommended for appointment in IAS, IFS, IPS and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

Although there were high hope with young and energetic DM Dr. Sandeep Kumar R. Pudakalkatti but the district is still battling with many issues even after his long stay. Now all eyes are fixed on new DM Aditya Kumar Das. Hopes are high with upcoming DM of Kishanganj as he is assuming charge as District Magistrate of district after promotion.
