A two-day national seminar on 'Teaching Practice: Trends & Issues,' organized by the Department of Education, AMU Centre Kishanganj on February 26 - 27, 2015. Speaking on this occasion, Mr Animesh Kumar Prasar, Chief Guest & District Magistrate (Kishanganj) highlighted the importance of the role of teachers in building a civilized and growth oriented nation. He also pointed out that the importance of practice teaching in imparting education particularly at school and college level cannot be undermined.

Dr Raashid Nehal, Director, AMU Centre Kishanganj provided the participants a detailed note on the necessity of organizing such an important academic event. He said that this seminar was supposed to provide a good interface to academicians and practice teachers to exchange their views and ideas on this theme with an aim to improve the teaching standards at the actual workplace. He also shared with the participants the keynote address of Prof. B. K. Tripathi, Director, NCERT who couldn't attend the same due to his personal engagements.
A number of participants representing different nooks & corners of the country participated in this seminar, stated Dr Haider Abbas, Faculty-in- Charge (Public Relations). Dr Haider informed that the first day of seminar ended with the successful conduction of three technical sessions that were chaired by Dr. Amirullah Khan (Assistant Professor Department of English, AMU), Dr Md Sajidul Islam (Assistant Professor, Department of English, AMU) and Dr Raashid Nehal, Director, AMU,KC).
The seminar was conducted by Dr Uzma Siddiqui, a senior faculty member of Education Department. The first day of this seminar ended with a formal vote of thanks proposed by Mohd Muzahir Ali, Organizing Secretary of this seminar.
