Later on in a statement to media, Vice-chancellor P K Abdul Azis put to rest the speculation over the fate of the institute's campus here saying both the central and state governments had 'positive' attitude towards it. "There are no obstacles in the way of setting up a unit of AMU in Kishanganj in Bihar ... Both the centre and state governments hold positive attitude in this regard," Azis said. The AMU VC said as soon as the state government and district administration acquired the land the campus would be opened.

Meanwhile, AMU VC again raised question over the controversial 243 acres land offered by the Nitish government earlier. Mr. Azis, it is not an easy job to run a huge educational institute in 3 parts, as it would be a big problem for the administration to manage the study centre at Chakla, Kishanganj. The AMU VC and his team was highly optimistic with their visit to the new sites. However, the AMU administration has not given any final approval to any proposed land.
