किशनगंज के लाल असलम परवेज़ ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय पटल पर ज़िले ही नहीं बल्कि बिहार राज्य के साथ - साथ देश का नाम रौशन किया है ! ज़िला मुख्यालय के डियोहरी रोड (सुभाषपल्ली चौक) के निवासी जनाब असलम परवेज़ को थाईलैंड स्तिथ एशियन डिजास्टर प्रीपेयर्डनेस सेंटर (एडीपीसी) का डेप्युटी एग्जीक्यूटिव डायरेक्टर (डीईडी) नियुक्त किया गया है ! जनाब असलम परवेज़ पिछले कई वर्षों से एशियन डिजास्टर प्रीपेयर्डनेस सेंटर में विभिन्न पदों पर कार्यरत रहे हैं ! गौरतलब हो कि जनाब असलम पिछले करीब दो दशकों से डिजास्टर मैनेजमेंट (आपदा प्रबंधन) छेत्र के कई पहलुओं पर कार्य कर रहे हैं ! उनकी संस्था भारत में कई राज्यों के डिजास्टर मैनेजमेंट (आपदा प्रबंधन) प्लानिंग पर कार्य करती हैं जिसमें बिहार राज्य भी शामिल है ! जनाब असलम परवेज़ विश्वभर के कई देशों के डिजास्टर मैनेजमेंट (आपदा प्रबंधन) की रुपरेखा तैयार करने के साथ - साथ निश्चित अंतराल पर भारत दौरे पर भी आकर देश की आपदा से निपटने की तैयारियों का जायज़ा लेते हैं !
जनाब असलम परवेज़ के डेप्युटी एग्जीक्यूटिव डायरेक्टर बनने पर उनके परिवारवालों के साथ - साथ दोस्तों, शुभचिंतकों तथा अन्य लोगों ने बधाई और शुभकामनाएं दी हैं ! आपको यह बता दें कि जनाब असलम परवेज़ इंसान स्कूल के पूर्वर्ती छात्र रहे हैं और उन्होंने उच्च शिक्षा अलीगढ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय (एएमयू) अलीगढ से प्राप्त किया है !
Mr. Aslam Perwaiz currently serves as Deputy Executive Director (DED) with Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre (ADAC), Bangkok, Thailand. He has over 20 years of experiences in the domain of disaster risk management, emergency preparedness planning, recovery planning, private sector resilience, training and capacity building, knowledge management, project management, resource mobilization and overall institutional development. He also has extensive experience of disaster risk management in South and Southeast Asia.
Mr. Aslam works with strengthening the institutional and legal frameworks for disaster risk reduction and with capacity building at national and sub-national levels. He has strong interest in water resource and environmental management as well as climate change adaptation and its linkages with disaster risk reduction.
Mr. Aslam is involved in the implementation of large- and medium-scale disaster risk reduction programs focusing on community-based disaster risk reduction and integration of disaster risk reduction into socio-economic planning. He is the expert on DRM Systems and Institutional Development especially community resilient working with government agencies and National Disaster Management Organization (NDMO) in the Asia Pacific region.
