Bihar battling from Kosi’s fury

0
Brothers we are here living in utmost comfort and busy in our daily affairs. But thousand of kilometres away in our state Bihar, about 50 lakh people are battling from the devastated floods. This past week the ‘Sorrow of Bihar’, Kosi River broke its barrage at the Bihar – Nepal border and change its course. Due to unfortunate cramp at the barrage, the river turned about 120 kms east and washed thousands of villages.

People of our neighbouring district Araria, Purnea and Katihar are suffering from the curse of the river. Other districts namely Saharsa, Madhepura and Supal are also battling from the fury of Kosi.

Political leaders of Bihar are surveying the extent of damage through the helicopters. To the utter shame, the leaders like Lalu Prasad and Ram Vilas Paswan, instead of helping out the affected people, trying to take political advantage of the situation. After all they are politician and they have forgotten the lesson of humanity.

Yesterday our Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visited the flood affected areas of Bihar. Manmohan Singh announced the flood as natural calamity and also offered Rs. 1000 crore relief package for Bihar.

Kosi River has wiped out everything of the people falling in its route and it might take years to recover the affected people from the mental agony. It’s true we can’t visit those affected areas and understand the situation the people are facing there. But at least we can pray for them and pray to Allah Taala for providing them patience to overcome from the disaster.
