Breaking News: Kishanganj Businessman shot dead at Dharampur

In a bizarre incident Raju Lodha, a resident of Kishanganj district headquarters was shot dead today (June 06, 2011) morning by unidentified assailants near Kathpul (wooden bridge) at Dharampur (Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal). As per the inputs of locals, Raju Lodha, a businessman was having a cloth shop at Dharampur haat.


The victim was on way to Dharampur Haat at around 6.30 am. As he reached near Kathpula some 6 to 7 goons tried to loot their bag full of cash and money. Lodha was trying to resist the bag that in turn led into firing from the goons. He was shot 3 times and died while in route to MGM Hospital, Kishanganj.

The murder of Raju Lodha is an unfortunate incident in the vicinity of peaceful Kishanganj district. Raju Lodha’s loot and murder case is an alarm bell towards the dangerous trend. The district administration of Kishanganj and nearby Uttar Dinajpur should must take fact action to catch the culprits.
