The enthusiasm for grand agitation (dharna) regarding the land transfer issue for the proposed AMU Special Centre in Kishanganj is gaining momentum across the district of Kishanganj, Seemanchal, other parts of Bihar and many parts of country. 'Kishanganj Education Movement for AMU Special Centre' headed by MP Kishanganj Maulana Asrarul Haque Qasmi flagged off its symbolic dharna in front of District Collectorate from October 9, 2011. While the political leaders and activists of the group were busy in awareness drive in different parts of Kishanganj and nearby Uttar Dinajpur district, the Symbolic Dharna site was visited by Kishanganj MLA Dr Mohammad Jawaid. The student leaders, namely Mohammad Manazir Ahsan, Mohammad Nasim Akhtar, Mohammad Arshad Hayat, Mohammad Shamayale Nabi, Mohammad Mustaqim, Sarfaraz Khan, Sajjad Baghi, Imam Ali and many others delievered the speech on AMU Centre and expressed their willingness to do everything for this noble cause.
