Maulana Asrarul Haque Qasmi – the MP of Kishanganj had successfully led the countrywide known ‘Maha Dharna’ for the establishment of AMU Special Centre in Kishanganj on October 12, 2011. As per the representatives of Maulana Qasmi the Purnia Division Commissioner Brajesh Mishra on behalf of Nitish Kumar led Bihar Government had ensured that the land transfer issue will be resolved within a month i.e before 13th November, 2011. However, there were differences of opinions among the people due to improper communication (message), some said the government is asked to resolve the issue within 30 days, while some said the given time is 45 days. AMU Centre Co-ordination Committee (AMUC3) Delhi had supported the agitation against Bihar Government and it met with Maulana Qasmi at his residence to congratulate for the successful dharna and know the development till date.
