Here is another proud moment for people of Seemanchal and entire Bihar. Dr. Mujeebur Rahman an Arabic Scholar belonging to Katihar district of Bihar was awarded by Honourable President of India Pratibha Devi Singh Patil this past week in Delhi. President Patil has given away Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman for Arabic to Dr. Mujeebur Rahman along with many awardees on June 19, 2012 in national capital amidst a glittering ceremony. Dr. Mujeebur Rahman is currently an Associate professor at Centre of Arabic and African Studies, School of Language Literature and &Culture Studies in JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University). The awards are announced once a year on Independence Day in recognition of substantial contribution in the field of Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic and Pali/Prakrit.
