Human Chain organizes Youth Resource Development Programme to empower the youths

The development of Seemanchal region and other parts of country can’t be expected without empowerment of the youth this is a fact and it needs urgent attention. With the aim to facilitate the youths of Seemanchal, Human Chain – a Delhi based Non Government Society of Seemanchal people had organized ‘Youth Resource Development Programme’ (YRDP) in New Delhi this past week at Jamat-e-Islami campus, Abul Fazal Enclave. The programme (fresher party) intended to provide a platform to freshers of Seemanchal region who have enrolled themselves in various courses in the colleges of Delhi & NCR. 



Organised by youth wing of Human Chain the programme was attended by Maulana Asrarul Haque Quasmi, the member of parliament from Kishanganj, Kamal Farooqui, National Secretary Samajwadi Party, Abul Hafeez Gandhi, former Students’ union president AMU, Engineer Perwaiz Mohammad, Iqbal Ahmad, Correspondent BBC, Mufti Athar Jawed and many other educationists and activists along with 500 students belonging to the districts of Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura and Uttar Dinajpur (West Bengal).

In his address to the gathering Maulana Asrarul Haque said that education is most important for all but at the same time we should focus ourselves to have good mannerism. Being literate is not enough to change the society or nation until or unless you follow good manners and deal with people around you with loving gesture. Kamal Farooqui, a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) shared his personal life and sweet and sour experiences. He said that my life can be a source inspiration for many especially the students belonging to economically deprived families.

Perwaiz Mohammad, an alumni of AMU had delivered a motivational speech and emphasized on the vision of Great Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. Abdul Hafiz Gandhi captivated the attention of crowd with his powerful speech and he focused on the important of modern education for all especially madarsa board students. Mohammad Mudassir Alam from Human Chain described about the society and its motive. Mr. Alam said that Human Chain is a platform to serve the humanity and all should try to be a good human being unless there is no any benefit of living on the earth. 

Human Chain president Mohammad Aslam made the crowd frenzy with his speech and though provoking points. Mr. Aslam said that Human Chain is a society of professionally successful persons from various fields. This is a hub of talent and it will surely bring changes in the Seemanchal region and other parts of the country including abroad. Speaking on the topic, “Miles to go before I sleep”, Mr. Aslam said that in short period of about four months since its inception Human Chain has got attention due to its work. Further he added that Human Chain believes on work rather than making tall claims and very soon the result (impact) of the society will be visible to all. 

Human Chain’s Nadeem Akhtar handled the management team of YRDP. Sarwar Alam and Najeeb Sagar hosted the programme, while other youths namely Wasim Akhtar, Ghulam Tarique, Jahangir Alam, Mudassir Nazar (One), Mukarram Zia, Shah Azam, Nauman, Mudassir Nazar (Two), Nafis, Ahbar and Tarique Anwar given valuable contribution to organize the programme successfully. 

The focus of programme was to motivate the students with the speeches of the guests. Besides this, Mr. YRDP competition was also organized in which 10 students participated. Munis Janisar from Baigana village of Kishanganj was declared Mr. YRDP. In addition to this four students were given consolation prizes. Mr. YRDP was selected by a panel of three judges namely, Tauquir Alam (JNU), Minnat Rahmani and Tauqueer Alam (Jamia). The core team members of Human Chain had thanked the students to attend the programme that include Mujahid Akhtar, Gauhar Mahmood, Nasim Haider, Salam Anwar, Anzar Alam, Manazir Alam, Nawed Shamsi, Khalid Mubashshir, Ghaznafar Elahi, Mansoor Alam and Zahoor Alam. 

The vote of thanks was given by Nadeem Akhtar. While taking with KBC, a core member of Human Chain said that the aim of YRDP to find out the talented students of Seemanchal who will be given proper training to groom up for facing the interviews. As per Human Chain member the society has decided to give training to interested students twice in a week on soft skills like communication, presentation and facing the interviews, etc. The society will begin the career counseling and workshop training from November 2012 onwards.
