The information about President of India's approval for establishment of Aligarh Muslim University Centre at Kishanganj, Bihar has been made public to all a couple of weeks back. Below is the scanned copy of the letter sent by Juglal Singh, Under Secretary to the Govt of India from Ministry of Human Resource Development to Shahrukh Shahmshad, Registrar Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh (UP) on November 6, 2012. The letter says:
Sir,
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to say that the President, in his capacity as Visitor, AMU, in exercise of powers vested in him under Section 12 (2) of the AMU Act, has been pleased to approve establishment of AMU Centre at Kishanganj, Bihar.
It is requested that a Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Feasibility Report may be got prepared for establishment of Centre at Kishanganj through an authorized / expert agency, preferably Government agency and same may be sent to the Ministry immediately for placing it before the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) for their consideration / grant of funds.
