Taking a leap ahead to ensure fair selection to meritorious students the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh has introduced entrance tests for simple graduation (hons) courses from this academic session 2013 - 14. This year the university will not select students in graduation courses bases on marks obtained in Intermediate or equivalent courses. This remarkable decision has been taken by the university in order to bring a variety of students from different states of the country.
Candidates willing to take admission in courses namely B.A (Hons – Faculty of Arts / Social Science / Theology), B.Sc (Hons – Faculty of Agricultural Science/ Life Science / Science) and B.Com (Hons – Faculty of Commerce) are required to appear in entrance test which is scheduled on 09.06. 2013. Application forms can be downloaded from the website of AMU Controller. The same can be filled and submitted to respective faculties on or before 04.04.2013 with draft of Rs. 200 drawn in favour of Finance Office, AMU, payable at Aligarh.
The entrance tests will be held in six cities outside AMU, Aligarh. Candiates can opt from the cities Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Guwahati (Assam), Kolkata (West Bengal), Kozhikode / Calicut (Kerala), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) and Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir)
