Ejaz Alam from Amour block (Purnia) cracks BPSC selected as Probation Officer

“If you dream high, work hard with full dedication and honesty to achieve your goal”, says Ejaz Alam who has cracked the prestigious Common Combined Competitive Examination (CCCE) conducted by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). The results for 53rd-55th CCCE was declared on August 16, 2013, in which a total of 969 candidates were finally selected for different departments of govt of Bihar. A resident of Bada Edgah panchayat in Amour block of Purnia district,  Ejaz Alam is selected a Probation Officer (PO) based on his performance in the interview conducted between 28 May 2013 to 05 July 2012. The main (written) exam was conducted from 26 May 2012 to 14 June 2012.

As soon Mr. Ejaz got the news of his selection after the results were declared in official website of BPSC he was highly elated over his success. Ejaz said, “it was dream come true for me since I was aspiring to join the bureaucracy to serve the state and country. I had cleared PT and Mains of UPSC last year, but couldn’t get through the interview for IAS. I was little dejected after failing to clear the UPSC interview, now I am selected in Bihar Public Service it has come as a big boon for me.” My family, relatives, friends and people of native place are very happy with my achievement, added Mr. Ejaz. 

Ejaz has done his initial studies till class three from a nearby school. His father got him enrolled into Insan School, Kishanganj in Standard Four, where he studied till matriculation. Further he headed towards state capital Patna for Intermediate and higher studies. After completing graduation from Patna, Ejaz moved to national capital New Delhi and pursued M.A from Delhi School of Economics in University of Delhi. A UGC – JRF qualified research scholar, currently Ejaz is pursuing Ph.D from Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi, which is about to complete. 

When asked about UPSC aspiration, Mr. Ejaz said he still prepares for the country’s prestigious entrance test. Cracking BPSC is really a big achievement for me, but this is not the end of road for me, I have to hit the bull’s eye, which is UPSC and I am highly optimistic to achieve my goal said Mr. Ejaz before signing off. Since Ejaz hails from a simple family of Muslim dominated Sarvelli village this is really special in many ways. He has emerged out as role model and his achievement is surely going to motivate others from the educationally backward area.
