Dr. Raashid Nehal appointed as OSD of AMU Kishanganj Centre

Lt. Gen (Retd.) Zameer Uddin Shah, the Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University has approved the appointment of Dr. Raashid Nehal as Officer-on-Special Duty (OSD), AMU Kishanganj Centre in Bihar or three months or till further orders whichever is earlier, with effect from the date he assumes the charge. Dr. Raashid Nehal is currently Associate Professor at Department of English in Aligarh Muslim University. The Vice Chancellor has urged Dr. Raashid Nehal to proceed to Kishanganj and assume charge as OSD within a week.

Human Chain members have expressed happiness over the appointment of ODS for AMU Kishanganj on behalf of the organisation and education lovers belonging to the district of Kishanganj and adjoining areas. With the appointment of Officer on Special Duty (OSD), AMU Kishanganj has moved one step ahead in the start of session of establishment of the campus near Chakla. Mohammad Aslam, President Human Chain said, "we are thankful to AMU Vice Chancellor for providing an OSD for Kishanganj Centre. Hope Kishanganj Centre would progress in right direction under the supervision of Dr. Nehal." An AMU Alumnus, Dr. Nehal actually belongs to Patna, the capital of Bihar. Before joining AMU in graduation, he has done his Secondary and Senior Secondary from Kendriya Vidyalaya . He has done Bachelors and Masters in English from Aligarh Muslim University. Further he had done PGDTE (EFLU) from Hyderabad and came back to Aligarh Muslim University for M.Phil and Ph.D in ELT. He has served as Lecturer in English Department of Rajiv Gandhi Central University, in Arunachal Pradesh from 29th July 1993 to 7th July, 2003. He had joined AMU in 2003 as Associate Professor in the Department of English.

Currently Dr. Nehal is involved in various fields related with teaching and training such as BA (Communicative English), MA ELT programmes and supervise PhD studies (ELT) and MA (ELT) dissertations in broad area of writing education, Practice Teaching, Teacher Training, Writing Needs Analysia, ESL writing and Assessment.
