Quite interestingly this will be first face-to-face meeting
of Kumar with Ms Gandhi after the alliance of Congress with RJD and LJP in
Bihar. At the same time, both Congress and JD(U) are making tall claims for
getting the credit on AMU Kishanganj Centre.
The state government has made 224 acres of land available
for the AMU centre free of cost but in the last two years nothing happened
related to infrastructure development. Although the AMU administration has
started B.Ed course in the building provided by the state government, the fund
for the campus is yet to be officially released.
The decision of Kumar amidst the war of words and
allegations between his party and Congress is welcomed by the AMU Kishanganj
lovers and activists groups. Mohammad Aslam, president Human Chain said, “I
welcome the decision of Bihar CM to attend the ceremony, this would give a
positive message among the people. Most importantly, AMU would not suffer due
to political blame-game between the Centre and State governments.”
