Prof. Parvaiz Talib, Deputy Coordinator, AMU Centres visited the Aligarh Muslim University Kishanganj Centre to assess the functioning of the centre and development works in progress. Prof. Talib interacted with the students and conducted an Orientation Workshop on effective communication, English language fluency and personality development skills for the students of Business Administration. He urged the faculty members to keep abreast with recent developments in their field of specialization and interest. He also met non-teaching staff of the centre and collected information regarding placement, staffing and wages etc.

Speaking at an interactive session in which Samman Foundation Chairman Mr. Irfan Alam was also present, Prof. Talib stressed the need for exploring linkages with entrepreneurial organizations and agencies such as Samman foundation, Patna, which provide entrepreneurial opportunities for internship and placement drives.
On this occasion, distinguished IIM graduate, founder chairman of SAMMAN Foundation Patna and Member, Advisory Council of AMU Centre, Mr. Irfan Alam also addressed the students of MBA and B.Ed. courses. He urged the students to utilize opportunities offered by Samman Foundation to develop need-based entrepreneurial skills that would go a long way in developing the region, state and the nation. He said that jobs will always be available but the real challenge was to own greater responsibility for making significant contribution to the region. As part of this initiative, 17 students of MBA have been selected for screening for placement in Samman Foundation for internship during summers, informed Mr. Alam.
Dr. Raashid Nehal, Director of the Kishanganj Centre said that Mr. Irfan Alam is an internationally acclaimed entrepreneur. Mr. Alam, besides being Founder Chairman of Sammaan Foundation, has been engaged in organizing rickshaw pulling and manufacturing sector while taking a lead role as primary and emergency health care service provider. A social entrepreneur, Alam has been globally recognized as an expert in turning corporate social responsibilities into lucrative socially relevant business opportunities, added Dr. Nehal.
Dr. Nehal said that Mr. Irfan Alam who is a Fulbright scholar and Ford and TED fellow, has earlier been chosen for titles like CNBC Young Turk and CNN Young Indian Leader.
