Central University of South Bihar Admission Process begins from March 28, 2016

The online application process for admission in new academic session 2016-17 of Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) begins from Monday (March 28, 2016) with the official announcement made by Controller of Examinations (COE) Prof. Ravindranath Singh Rathore on University website www.cub.ac.in. CUSB Public Relation Officer (PRO) Md. Mudassir Alam said that this year many new initiatives have been taken by the University regarding admission process. Along with old existing courses, a number of new courses have been introduced that include PhD in subjects like Mass Communication, Law and Education, in addition to PG courses such as LLM and MEd. 

This year instead of earlier existing Integrated MPhil-PhD programmes, the University has invited admission in directly in PhD through online test followed by interview. Altogether CUSB has invited applications for 38 programmes which include four undergraduate programmes, 18 postgraduate programmes and 16 PhD programmes. Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria may apply for undergraduate level in courses namely, Four-Year Integrated BA. BEd & BSc. BEd, Five-Year Integrated BA. LLB (Hons), and B.Voc (Arts & Crafts). Similarly, candidates may apply for PG and PhD programmes such as Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Life Science, Environmental Science, Education, Psychology, English, Hindi, Law, Communication & Media Studies, Computer Science (both M.Sc & M.Tech), Mathematics, Statistics, Development Studies, Economics, Political Science & International Relations and Sociology.

Candidates need to visit the University website for details like name of programmes, eligibility criteria, requisite fee, etc. for submission of online application forms till 30th April 2016. The information about the status of application shall be made online 5th May, which shall be finalised for final publication on 9th May after addressing the grievances, etc. The hall tickets can be downloaded from 21st May onward from the University website for CUSBET. The online test named as Central University of South Bihar Entrance Test (CUSBET) – 2016 shall be conducted at 62 test centres in Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and many other cities of the country. The results of CUSBET 2016 will be declared on June 3, 2016 and the admission process along with the other formalities shall be completed in the month of June itself. However, in case of unavoidable circumstances the dates may be changed, which shall be notified on University website. 

Established in the year 2009 as the first Central University of the state of Bihar, CUSB has carved a niche for itself in the region as well as country with its excellent teaching pedagogy practices, state-of-the-art laboratories, well-established library, in addition to many achievements in the short period of about six years. Presently the University has over 100 faculty members, many of them with remarkable international exposure, and also owning a number of funded research projects in their kitties. On the other hand, a fair number of students are getting campus placement from the University in reputed organisations like Azim Premji Foundation, Care India, Piramal Foundation among many other in good package for past a couple of years. The students also succeed in cracking UGC NET – JRF, SRF, GATE, and many other fellowships every year for higher studies. Currently the University is functioning from rented premises in Patna and Gaya, very shortly it is going to shift in its own 300 acres campus at Panchanpur in Gaya where the building construction work in going on full swing. Once shifted to its own campus, CUSB is hopeful to achieve many milestones in the coming time in the field of higher education.
