UPSC 2015 Results! 33 Muslims selected in Civil Services Examinations

Based on the results of the written part of Civil Services Examination, 2015 held by the Union Public Service Commission in December, 2015 and the interviews for Personality Test held during March-May, 2016, the final results were declared on Tuesday, 10th May, 2016. Delhi's Tina Dabi secured the first rank in UPSC 2015 followed by Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan, a resident of Jammu & Kashmir and Jasmeet Singh Sandhu at second and third position respectively. The Union Public Service Commission recommended a total of 1078 candidates in order of merit to: (i) Indian Administrative Service; (ii) Indian Foreign Service; (iii) Indian Police Service; and (iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’. The breakup of the candidates category wise is as follows:

(i) General – 499 (including 14 PH-1, 05 PH-2 & 12 PH-3)

(ii) OBC – 314 (including 06 PH-1, 01 PH-2 & 06 PH-3)

(iii) SC – 176 (including 01 PH-2) 

(iv) ST - 89

Out of 1078 candidates only 33 Muslim candidates could qualify for one of India's premier competitive examinations conducted by UPSC. The details of Muslim candidates are given below:
