January 16 was a sad day for Kishanganj as the distrcit and its people lost a great social worker Mohd. Matin Shalfi. Renowned as the founder of Tauheed Educational Trust, 55-year-old Mohd Matin Shalfi died due to cardiac arrest. Late Matin Sb who was taken to Mata Gujari Memorial Medical College (Lions Club) after heart stroke died on the way that eventually led his family members, staffs of Tauheed Educational Trust, and common people of the district on shock.
Working for the development of Kishanganj for last two decades from global aid, Late Matin Shalfi had established many schools, madardas and ITI as well. In fact, currently around 1800 poor children getting education free of coast at Tauheed Educational Madaras. Death of Mohd. Matin Shalfi has a created a big void in educational and social movements of Kishanganj, and it would take a long time to fill the gap. May the Almighty enlighten Kishanganj with more and more such great personalities.
