January 14, 1990 was a red-letter day for Kishanganj and its people, as the district was carved out from Purnia district. Almost 20 years have passed, since the foundation of Kishanganj district and in this two decade time it has seen many ups and downs. Most importantly, despite many hurdles the district has moved ahead and now encompasses a special place on India's political and geographical map.
Kishanganj is now ready to celebrate its 20th Foundation Day on January 14, 2010. DM Kishanganj Mr. Feraque Ahmad in his statement a couple of days said that the district administration would celebrate the special day at a massive level at the district headquarters. And various types of cultural programmes will be organized from 11th January to 14th January.
Although we are far away from Kishanganj and many of us would not be able to join the grand celebrations. But we can express ourselves through few words.
