No any clue when the AMU Kishanganj will be established? This question has totally frustrated the people of Kishanganj and the residents of districts and neighbouring areas. They are all set for agitation against the UPA government at the centre in demand for AMU Kishanganj. Kishanganj Education Movement (KEM) for AMU group, which organized the massive protest on 12th October in 2011 against the Government of Bihar for allocation of land is going to protest on 11th August 2012 infront of Kishanganj District Collectorate in demand of infrastructure development and start of session from this year.
A member of KEM said that the President Wasiqur Rahman has made his intentions cleared about the protest on August 11, 2012. If the Central government doesn’t take any step for allocation the funds to AMU Centre Kishanganj, then the group will go ahead with grand public protest in the month of October. This is really a matter of concern that the Congress led UPA government is treating the matter of AMU Centre Kishanganj as a stepchild.
Earlier the party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and other leaders from Congress had blamed the Bihar Government for doing unprecedented delay in allocation the required 250 acres land. However, the Bihar Government had already allocated 224.02 acres land in Kishanganj on December 30, 2011. Since then there is no any development in the work related to AMU Centre in Kishanganj. Still the file of AMU Kishanganj is lying unnoticed in the offices of Ministry of HRD and the government is not giving any statement about same.
