Drugging has become very common in express trains of India. The drugging criminals are highly active in the state of Bihar and neighbouring states of Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. Almost everyday the passengers traveling in express trains of Delhi – Guwahati / Kolkata / Guwahati routes are trapped by the criminals by offering eatables and other poisonous substance. First the passengers are made friends by the druggers and later they are offered eatables. Once the trapped passenger accept the offerings of the criminals they loss consciousness and their valuables are looted.
Railway Protection Force of New Jalpaiguri / Katihar Division falling under the Northern Frontier (N.F.) Railway has made a list of drugging criminals. The same has been displayed at major railway station of the division. The list of drugging criminals also include women. The passengers are advised to beware of active drugging criminals. If anyone is having suspicion about fellow passenger involved in drugging must inform to RPF or GRP.
