A high level delegation led by Kishanganj Member of Parliament Maulana Asrarul Haque met Union Human Resource and Development (HRD) minister Kapil Sibal on Wednesday (October 17, 2012) to get the latest update on AMU Centre issue. The delegation was featuring Dr. Jawed (MLA Kishanganj), Akhtarul Iman (MLA Kochadhaman), Tausif Alam (MLA Bahadurganj), Tarique Anwar (MP, NCP), Dipa Das Munshi (MP, Congress) and many other politicians.
While talking with the delegation Mr. Sibal said that there is no any confusion regarding AMU Kishanganj in his ministry, neither he is making any type of delay. In fact, the file is lying at President of India Secretariat for approval, added Mr. Sibal. Once the President of India, who is also the Visitor of AMU gives approval for Kishaganj centre the initial budget for the construction work will be allocated.
Now all eyes are fixed on the President’s house where the file of AMU Kishanganj is lying. At the meantime AMU Kishanganj lovers are very happy with the latest update shared by Maulana Asrarul Haque. However, till the final approval comes and budget is allocated, it will be too early to predict anything as the issue of AMU Kishanganj has witnessed many ups and downs in past three years.
