Whom Kishanganj should vote to power Maulana Qasmi or Akhtarul Imaan?

“Whom Kishanganj should vote for”? Maulana Asrarul Haque or Akhtarul Imaan to stop BJP. Can we expect for the miracle, if both the leaders sit together and discuss the equation themselves in interest of people of Kishanganj? 

Wednesday brought a new twist in the polling equation of Kishanganj Lok Sabha constituency, as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) declared Alimuddin Ansari as its candidate from the district. Alimuddin Ansari is actually an AAP activist running an NGO and fought election as an independent candidate from Purnia Lok Sabha constituency. Interestingly he could secure around 5245 votes. The past record of Alimuddin Ansari is enough to rank him as a weak candidate for Kishanganj Lok Sabha, only his clear image and zero criminal record are highlights that attracted the state committee of AAP. 

Maulana Qasmi vs Aktharul Imaan

Just after the declaration of AAP’s fifth list and inclusion of Alimuddin Ansari the other Muslim candidates from Kishanganj must feeling great. Ansari’s presence is hardly going to disturb their vote equation. However, a big question that looms over the voters’ mind this time is possibilities of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to emerge out winner due to clashes among Muslim candidates and division of votes. 

Maulana Asrarul Haque Qasmi, the sitting Member of Parliament from Kishanganj succeeded in winning the confidence of party and got the ticket again from Congress high-command. The declaration of his name of course was a setback for the followers of Dr. Jawaid, MLA from from Kishanganj, who was confident to clinch the party ticket this time. Supporters of Bahadurganj MLA Tausif Alam were also expecting Lok Sabha ticket for their leader.

After the yesterday’s declaration of AAP’s candidate a discussion has started among the educated class on social platform Facebook with the BIG Question mark “Maulana should be given next chance to stop BJP from win?” 

Some sections also discussed the name of Akhtarul Iman, currently MLA of Kochadhaman. The same questions are discussed “Akhtarul Iman should be given the chance to win the elections?”. Although the Janata Dal (United) has not declared its list of candidate, but close aids of Akhtarul Imaan says that the party has already selected him for Kishanganj constituency and confident of his win.

Now coming back to the point, “Whom Kishanganj should vote for”? Maulana Asrarul Haque or Akhtarul Imaan to stop BJP. If the work of both the politicians are compared the radius of their constituencies differ. Maulana Qasmi’s area of work includes the entire district, on the other hand Akhtarul Imaan has represented Kishanganj Assembly constituency twice and he is representing Kochadhaman constituency. 

Bottom line is that, people are not much happy with both the politicians. However, to stop BJP from winning Kishanganj Lok Sabha constituency voters must make their mind to give clear majority to either Maulana or Imaan. Can we expect for the miracle, if both the leaders sit together and discuss the equation themselves in interest of people of Kishanganj. Unless in their personal interest the district can slip into the hands of BJP, which doesn’t have a good rapport among Muslim minority.
