Aktharul Imaan, the JD(U) candidate from Kishanganj who had abruptly announced to quit the Lok Sabha elections 2014 has shocked the party president Sharad Yadav, Nitish Kumar and workers. However, Akhtarul Imaan ranks his decision as a BIG Sacrifice for the larger interest of Kishanganj and stopping the communal forces especially Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Mr. Imaan has also given a message to people of Kishanganj which reads as follows:
"In our life, there come many a moments when we have to go for some tough decisions for the sake of our people. At this crucial point of time, our representatives are shedding all inhibitions and selling their souls (read votes) to fascist forces in lieu of some currency notes, the unfortunate result (as a consequence of the political folly and selfishness of the present day candidate of Indian National Congress) of 1999 was knocking at the doors once again. It would be horrible !!
The larger interest of the nation asked for quick action. Sacrifice.
And we all know that such a valuable thing, like sacrifice, cannot be expected from cheap people like the one here.
Hence, my decision not to contest the present election.
I hope you shall support my decision !!"
