On Tuesday, October 14, 2014 a meeting of Shanti Samiti, which is formed after the recent incidence in the district headquarter was held at Kishanganj Collectorate. The meeting headed by Kishanganj DM Animesh Kumar Parashar was attended by new SP Rajiv Ranjan, MP Maulana Asrarul Haque, Kishanganj MLA Dr. Jawed, Kochadhaman MLA Master Mujahid Alam, other politicians along with representatives from civil society, intellectuals, etc. from the town and neighbouring areas. All of them unanimously condemned the recent incidence of Kishanganj and urged that those spreading the rumour must be identified and severely punished.
