Admission process begins at Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) from Saturday

The admission process for academic session 2015 begins at Central University of South Bihar (CUSB), (formerly known as Central University of Bihar) from Saturday, March 28. The Controller of Examinations (COE) Dr. (Mrs.) Chappidi Lakshmi Prabhavathi said that applications are invited for various disciplines of undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated MPhil – PhD programmes along with a new additional course Bachelor in Vocation (Arts & Crafts). CUSB has invited applications for undergraduate programmes, viz. Four-Year Integrated BA / BSc. BEd and Five-Year Integrated BA / BSc. LLB (Hons.), 16 postgraduate progammes that include MSc. In Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Life Science, Mathematics, Statistics, MTech in Computer Science, MA in Communication and Media Studies, Development Studies, Economics, English, Hindi, Psychology, Political Science & International Relations, and Sociology. The University is also going to conduct entrance tests for admission in integrated MPhil – PhD programmes in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Life Science, Statistics, Political Science & International Relations, and Psychology.


Briefing about the schedule of admission Mohammad Mudassir Alam, Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the university said that the application form (online / offline) shall be available from March 28, payment of examination fee through bank challan / NEFT may be made from April 1, while the online and offline applications be submitted on April 27 and 30, respectively. The results of CUSBET online test shall be declared on June 4 and the admission formalities for the forthcoming session would be completed between June 15  - 20, 2015. The online entrance tests for admission will be held on 30th – 31st May, 2015. The test shall be conducted at 35 centres across the country, viz., Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Bangalore (Karnataka), Bhopal (MP), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Chandigarh, Chennai (TN), Dehradun (UK), Guwahati (Assam), Hyderabad (Telangana), Jaipur (Rajasthan), New Delhi, Pune (Maharashtra), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Shimla (HP), Thiruvanthapuram (Kerala), Jammu and Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir, Durgapur, Kolkata  and Siliguri in West Bengal,  Aligarh, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, and Lucknow in Uttar Prdesh, and Ara, Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Bihar Sharif, Darbhanga, Gaya, Motihari, Muzaffarpur, Patna and Purnia in Bihar.
