Now you don’t need to run behind the gas distributors of your area who usually give various types of excuses for not issuing the connection to common people. In order to end the monopoly and illegal activities of gas distributors, the government has issued new guidelines. Domestic consumers can now directly send their application for new connection directly to the Oil companies namely, Indian Oil (Indane – http://www.indane.co.in), Hindustan Petroleum (http://www.hindustanpetroleum.com) and Bharat Gas (http://www.ebharatgas.com)
The oil companies including Indian Oil and Hindustan Petroleum located in commercial areas have already started to issue the gas connection.You have to visit the websites of oil companies and drop your request with required details. Once you ended up with furnishing all details the oil companies will issue the new connection after verifying the application. The oil company after fulfilling the formalities will send a letter to your nearest gas distributor for issuing the connection. A copy of the letter will also be sent at your address. You have to visit the distributor to get the gas connection. The whole process will take around three weeks.
