Applications are invited by Central University of Bihar (CUB) for admission to various undergraduate, post graduate and integrated MPhil – PhD programmes offered in the different disciplines for academic session 2014 at its Patna and Gaya campuses. The Controller of Examination Dr. Chappidi Lakshmi Prabhavathi said “the university is going to conduct the entrance tests for admission in various courses independently which has been named as Central University of Bihar Entrance Test (CUBET) - 2014. Last year the admission in CUB Patna and Gaya campuses happened through the CUCET (Central University Combined Entrance Test) conducted by Central University of Rajasthan”. “By conducting the entrance test ourselves we are expecting that the admission process would be easier for the students and the university would get applications from various parts of the country,” added Dr. Prabhavathi. Mohammad Mudassir Alam, Public Relation Officer of the university said the application forms (online / offline) for CUBET – 2014 will be available from 28th March 2014 onwards.
Eligible candidates may submit their duly filled application form through online or offline mode alongwith requisite fees on or before 25th April, 2014. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of CUB for detailed notification and information regarding eligibility, number of seats, fees, test centres and procedure for submission of online / offline application forms, told the PRO. Mr. Alam mentioned that online test will be conducted for admission on 31st May and 1st June, 2014 at 32 centres across India which include Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir), Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir), Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Chandigarh, Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Delhi, Jaipur (Rajasthan), Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Patna (Bihar), Gaya (Bihar), Bhagalpur (Bihar), Darbhanga (Bihar), Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Purnia (Bihar), Sasaram (Bihar), Kolkata (West Bengal), Durgapur (West Bengal), Siliguri (West Bengal), Guwahati (Assam), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Pune (Maharashtra), Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Chennai (Tamil Nadu) and Bengaluru (Karnataka).
CUB has invited applications for integrated undergraduate programmes namely Four Year Dual Degree BA / BSc. BEd and Five Year Integrated BA / BSc. LLB (Hons.). Candidates can apply for postgraduate progammes that include Mathematics, Statistics, Biotechnology, Life Science, Bioinformatics, Environmental Science, Communication and Media Studies, Development Studies, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science & International Relations, English, Hindi, M.Sc. Computer Science and M. Tech Computer Science. The university is also going to conduct entrance tests for admission in integrated MPhil – PhD programmes in disciplines like Life Science, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics and Political Science & International Relations.
