AMU Old Boys Association Bihar chapter to conduct essay writing competition in memory of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan

The Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA), Bihar Chapter will conduct an Interschool Essay Writing Competition as part of the celebrations of the 198th birth anniversary of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) founder Sir Syed Ahmad Khan next month. AMUOBA General Secretary Dr. Arshad Haque said that in memory of AMU’s legendry founder and an outstanding social reformer Sir Syed Ahmad Khan his Bihar based association shall conduct the essay writing competition for school students from standard sixth to tenth in English language in capital Patna. Dr. Haque said that the one-hour competition on the topic “Sir Syed Ahmad Khan” will be conducted on 11th October, 2015 from 10 am to 11 am at Patna Muslim High School, opposite Science College, Ashok Rajpath, in Patna. The winners of the essay writing competition shall be given away the prizes on the occasion of Sir Syed Day celebrations to be tentatively conducted on last week of October in Patna itself, added the general secretary.



Providing further information about the competition, AMU old boy Mohammad Mudassir Alam said that interested students may register themselves in the office of Principal, Patna Muslim High School, Patna on or before 30th September, 2015. Also the registered participants need to bring the valid Identity cards to appear in the competition. Since the entries are limited and based on first-come-first basis, so the students, wards and principals of participating schools are advised to fulfil the registration formalities as earliest as possible, said Mudassir. He also urged from the Principals of schools to motivate their students to participate in the competition.
